Beans are an inexpensive way to get protein into your family's meals. Beans are also low in fat and cholesterol and high in protein.
I like to buy dried beans, but canned beans will do in a pinch. I make up big batches of dried beans (black, pinto, Great Northern, etc.) and freeze them in 2 cup portions to use at a later date.
