Beans and brown bread

Beans are an inexpensive way to get protein into your family's meals. Beans are also low in fat and cholesterol and high in protein.
I like to buy dried beans, but canned beans will do in a pinch. I make up big batches of dried beans (black, pinto, Great Northern, etc.) and freeze them in 2 cup portions to use at a later date.

Follow the link for some great baked bean recipes, as well as my favorite brown bread recipe. You'll also find my favorite barbecue butter bean recipe.

Till next time, I remain Frugally Yours!
