This time of year, when the weather is cooler, my thoughts start turning to baking again. I love homemade cookies, and perhaps none more than the homemade gingersnap. I prefer crispy gingersnaps, but a good chewy gingersnap will do.
My grandmother's favorite cookie is the gingersnap, and I remember the sweet spicy smells of her gingersnaps filling the kitchen each Autumn. I knew Oktoberfest and Halloween couldn't be far away when she started baking up batches of gingersnaps.
I hope you'll try my
chewy gingersnap cookie and
crispy gingersnap cookie recipes. They're also a fantastic addition to any holiday cookie plate. Try them out this year for your holiday cookie exchange. And don't forget the
sweet pumpkin pie dip. It makes and excellent accompaniment to the cookies
