Join in any time! If you need one more shopping trip before you start, that's okay. I do my shopping on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
I'm also doing a separate personal challenge to keep out take out/dining out to once per week for the next month; and to keep that dining out experience to $25 or less.
|Steel cut oatmeal|
Day One, January 11, 2012
Breakfast: coffee with coconut milk and turbinado sugar; steel cut oats with turbinado sugar, flax seed, chopped almonds, raisins and coconut milk.
Lunch: baked rigatoni: used up leftover sauce from Christmas, rigatoni that were hanging out from a previous dinner and needed to be used or tossed, mozzarella cheese that I had hanging out in the freezer that was given to me free; salad with Greek dressing; steamed broccoli and steamed spinach. Both had to be used up or tossed. We're having the big meal in the middle of the day because all the guys have to work at dinner (restaurants).

Dinner: soup, sandwich and salad for me; guys will eat at the restaurants free.
Total spent on groceries day one: $0
Total spent on dining out day one: $0
There was a little rigatoni, steamed broccoli and steamed spinach leftover and I'll take that for lunch on Friday to work.
